White Wines – Character and Complexity
Due to the warm climate and very light soils, our white wines are typically
full-bodied. Upon reaching physiological ripeness, a resulting alcohol
level of 13-14% vol. is not unusual.
The area around the lake is predestined for Burgundian varieties. Chardonnay,
Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), and Neuburger find optimal conditions here.
To compliment their powerful structure, we let our white wines mature
in wood.
Our classic styled wines, for example Weissburgunder, mature in large
wooden casks.
