Red Wines – Fruit and Power

 

We ferment our red wines in temperature-controlled stainless steel, in new small oak barrels, or in open vats. The malolactic fermentation takes place either in new small oak barrels or in large oak casks.

Some of our wines mature in large wooden casks, a few of which are quite old and have been in use for three generations. We value these vessels highly because they allow the pronounced fruit of Zweigelt and Blaufraenkisch articulation.
